Stat Priorities
WoW Midnight Stat Priority by Spec
MythicSim sims stat weights for every WoW Midnight damage and tank spec with SimulationCraft scale factors on Patch 12.0.5, refreshed weekly. Each page shows the priority order, the per-point DPS value behind it, and flags near-ties instead of pretending noise is a ranking.

What this is
For each spec, SimulationCraft perturbs every stat on the canonical baseline profile and measures the DPS change per point. Those scale factors are the stat weights; their order is the priority. Single target and cleave are simmed separately because the order can differ.
Weights are local: they describe one gear point and drift with diminishing returns, breakpoints, and set bonuses. The pages flag adjacent stats within ~5% as ties. For item-level decisions on your own character, run a full sim from your /simc string.
Refreshed every Sunday after the SimulationCraft weekly bump.
Frequently asked questions
What are stat weights?
A stat weight is the DPS your character gains per point of a stat, computed by SimulationCraft scale factors: the sim perturbs each stat by a fixed amount, re-runs the fight thousands of times, and measures the slope. Ranking the weights gives the stat priority.
How accurate are these stat priorities?
Each weight set is simmed on the canonical SimulationCraft profile for the spec at high iteration counts, on the pinned weekly SimC build. The broad ordering is reliable; adjacent stats within about 5% of each other are flagged as ties because that gap sits inside sim noise.
Why does my guide site show a different priority?
Weights depend on the gear baseline, talent build, fight length, and SimC version they were generated with. A guide written at patch launch or a Pawn string from a different gear set will disagree in the decimals; large disagreements usually mean one source is stale.
Should I use stat weights or sim my own character?
Use weights for quick calls (gems, enchants, comparing near-identical items). For real gear decisions, sim your own character: weights are local slopes that shift with diminishing returns and set bonuses, and a fresh sim accounts for all of it.
Why are healer specs missing?
The weights on this site are simmed over damage throughput, which is not a sound basis for ranking healer stats. Healer stat priorities will ship when a credible healing fixture exists in the pipeline.
How often are the weights updated?
Every Sunday, after the weekly SimulationCraft build refresh. Each spec page shows its pinned SimC SHA and generation date.
Sim your own character
Stat weights are averages on a standard profile. For the order on your gear, talents, and tier pieces, paste your /simc string on the homepage.
