Terms of Use

These terms are a contract between you and MythicSim, operated by an individual developer in Victoria, Australia ("we", "us"). They cover the MythicSim website, the Discord bot, the in-game addon, and any related service (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with a parent or guardian's permission, and they are responsible for your use. If we have previously suspended you for breaking these terms, you may not create a new account without our permission.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use the Service to simulate World of Warcraft characters and read the rankings and guides we publish. You may share result links and screenshots freely, including in guides, videos and streams. Attribution is appreciated but not required.

• ›Submit sims by script, bot or any automated means, or otherwise place unreasonable load on the sim queue. Rate limits exist so the queue stays fast for everyone.
• ›Scrape the site's rankings or guides in bulk, or mirror them, without written permission. Linking to them is always fine.
• ›Probe, scan or attempt to breach the Service's security or rate limiting, or access another person's account, sims or sessions.
• ›Use the Service to harass anyone, including by repeatedly simming or ranking characters that are not yours in order to target their players.
• ›Use the Discord bot in a way that breaks Discord's own terms, or the addon in a way that breaks Blizzard's terms.
• ›Break any applicable law.

Accounts are created by signing in with Discord, Battle.net or Google. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping those provider accounts secure. We may suspend or delete any account at any time if we believe these terms have been broken or the account is being used to abuse the Service. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us.

The /simc strings, character lists, rosters and problem reports you submit remain yours. You give us a licence to store, process and display them as needed to run the Service, including showing sim results to anyone who has the link. You confirm you have the right to submit whatever you submit.

We may use anonymised, aggregated data from sims (for example, how often a trinket ranks first for a spec) to improve the Service and to publish rankings. This data never identifies you or your characters.

Simulation results are statistical estimates produced by SimulationCraft or the World of Warcraft: Forever engine against a modelled fight. They depend on the accuracy of those engines, the version of the game they model, your character export, and the settings you chose. They are a guide for your own decisions, not a guarantee of in-game performance. We are not responsible for any gear, currency or time you spend based on a result.

Rankings, tier lists, stat priorities and guides are provided as-is, may be out of date after a game patch, and may contain errors. Tell us when you spot one.

The core Service is free. We may offer paid tiers with extra capacity or features. Prices are shown on the pricing page before you subscribe, in the currency stated there, and are billed in advance by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel; you can cancel at any time and keep the tier until the end of the paid period.

If we discontinue a paid feature, or terminate your account for a reason other than your breach of these terms, we will refund the unused part of the current period. If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us within 30 days and we will sort it out. Nothing here limits any refund rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or the consumer law where you live.

MythicSim is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment. World of Warcraft, Warcraft and Battle.net are trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment, Inc. SimulationCraft is free software licensed under the GPL-3.0 and runs as a separate program; its source is available from its own project. The site links to Wowhead, Warcraft Logs, Raider.IO, Discord and other services that have their own terms.

The Service is provided as-is and as available. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the sim queue will always be fast. To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties and are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss of data, arising from your use of the Service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or AUD 20 if you paid nothing.

If you are a consumer under the Australian Consumer Law or a similar law, you have guarantees that cannot be excluded, and nothing in these terms limits them.

We may change or shut down any part of the Service at any time. We may update these terms; when we do, the date at the top changes and the change is noted below. If a change materially affects a paid tier, we will announce it on the changelog before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the new terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and any dispute will be handled by the courts there, unless the consumer law where you live gives you the right to bring it locally. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
