What this is
For each spec, every current-season item is ranked within its slot: stat items by the spec's simmed stat weights at the season ceiling, trinkets by the weekly simmed trinket leaderboard. A dungeon then scores by how many slots it holds the best item for, then by how many of its drops sit in the top five of any slot, on Patch 12.1.0.
The result answers one question: if you can only run a few keys this week, which dungeons hold upgrades for your spec. It is per item on a fixed baseline, so it does not know what you already own; paste your /simc string for a droptimizer that does.

How is a dungeon ranked?
By the number of equipment slots where its drop is the best-in-slot item for the spec, then by how many of its drops are in the top five of any slot. Stat items are scored by the spec's simmed stat weights, trinkets by the simmed trinket leaderboard.
Does this know what I already have?
No. It ranks items on a fixed baseline for the spec, so it tells you where the upgrades are in general, not which of them beat your current piece. For that, paste your /simc string and run the Mythic+ droptimizer.
Why does the raid appear on a spec page?
For context. Most specs get several best-in-slot pieces from the raid and the tier set always does, so the page shows how many slots the raid and crafted gear cover alongside the dungeon ranking.
Which item level are dungeon drops compared at?
The Myth 6/6 ceiling, the same as raid drops, because Mythic+ vault rewards at high keys roll on the Myth track and upgrade with crests. That keeps dungeon and raid items on the same footing.
How often does it update?
Every Sunday after the weekly SimulationCraft bump, when the stat weights and trinket boards are resimmed.
