Top Players, Mythic+
Top WoW Mythic+ Players by Spec, Simmed
MythicSim takes the top Mythic+ players for every WoW Midnight DPS spec, re-fetches their live gear from Blizzard, and sims all of them on the same baseline. The result is a ranking of who actually pulls the most DPS from their loadout, not just who has the highest rating.
Top 10 characters per spec, each simmed single-target and cleave at 5,000 SimulationCraft iterations on Patch 12.0.5. Same rotation for everyone, so the gap between two players is pure gear, gems, enchants, and hero talents. Refreshed weekly.

A leaderboard of rating gets you the best players. A sim of their gear tells you who actually does the most damage. We combine the two: take the top Mythic+ characters per spec, pull their live loadout from Blizzard, and run every one of them through the same SimulationCraft profile.
Because the rotation, buffs, and fight length are identical for everyone, the DPS gap between two players is pure gear, gems, enchants, and hero talents. Encounter scripting, party composition, and rotation skill are not modelled here. For your own build, paste your /simc string and run a full sim.
Refreshed weekly after the SimulationCraft build bump.
Frequently asked questions
How are these top players ranked?
We pull the top Mythic+ characters per spec, re-fetch each one's live gear, gems, enchants, and talents from Blizzard's public Game Data API, then sim all of them in SimulationCraft on the same baseline. The DPS number is the mean of 5,000 iterations, so two players are compared on identical footing: same rotation, their own gear.
Is this real raid or M+ DPS?
No. It's a controlled sim: same APL, same buffs, same fight length for everyone. That isolates gear, gems, enchants, and hero talents from rotation skill and encounter luck. A high M+ rating gets a character onto the list; the sim decides who actually pulls the most damage from their loadout.
Single-target or cleave?
Both. Every character is simmed twice: a single-target Patchwerk fight and a CleaveAdd fight. The board shows each number so you can compare a player tuned for tank-and-spank against one built for consistent adds.
How often is the board updated?
Weekly, tracking the SimC build refresh and the latest M+ leaderboard snapshot. The patch and SimC SHA on each spec board are the authoritative freshness reference.
Can I compare two players head to head?
Yes. On any spec board, select two rows and open the head-to-head compare. Both were simmed on the same baseline, so the DPS gap is purely gear, gems, enchants, and talents, with a full item and talent diff below.
Can I sim my own character against them?
Paste your /simc string on the homepage and you'll get your own DPS number on the same baseline, plus a ranked list of gear upgrades. Same brain, your loadout, so the comparison is apples to apples.
Methodology
Source
Top characters from a public Mythic+ activity leaderboard. Each one's equipment, gems, enchants, and talents are re-fetched from Blizzard's public Game Data API so the simmed gear matches the live armoury, including bonus IDs.
Sim
SimulationCraft, 5,000 iterations per character, run twice: single-target Patchwerk and CleaveAdd. Default consumables per spec are injected so equal gear means equal buffs.
Baseline
Every character in a spec runs SimC's default APL for that spec. Same brain for everyone, so the ranking reflects loadout, not rotation.
Not included
Real encounter scripting, party composition, and player rotation skill. For your specific build, paste your /simc string and run a full sim.
Sim your own character
The boards sim the top players on a shared baseline. For your own DPS number on that same baseline, plus a ranked list of gear upgrades, paste your /simc string on the homepage.
